BUS EIREANN TO BE ASKED TO STEP INTO AIRCOACH BREACH
A motion was passed at the Fermoy Town Council AGM on Tuesday to write to Bus Eireann suggesting a service increase on their Cork to Dublin route following the loss of the town’s Aircoach service.
On Saturday, June 9 services from Cork, Dublin city centre and Dublin Airport serving Fermoy, Mitchelstown, Cashel, Urlingford, Durrow, Abbeyleix, Portlaoise and Kildare were completely suspended to make way for more Express services.
“The service is a great loss to the people of Fermoy and Mitchelstown,” community activist Joe Tobin told The Avondhu.
