Business community receives a shot in the arm for 2014 from Fermoy seminar
The business community of the North Cork area received a welcome boost last Thursday when acclaimed business trainer and motivational speaker, Pearce Flannery spoke to a full house at The Fermoy Community Youth Centre.
The North Cork Enterprise Board (NCEB) hosted the seminar where Pearce Flannery delivered a rousing and motivational address. The seminar was entitled ‘Create Your Own Reality’ and provided the participants with the tools and necessary motivation to set and achieve goals and improve their businesses in 2014.
According to Mr Michael Hanley, manager NCEB said that in today’s business climate, networking with potential clients had never been more important. There is a realisation among most sensible business people that they look beyond traditional ways of doing business and the type of promotional activities that they previously engaged in. We have been delighted with the enthusiastic response that this networking initiative has received, which demonstrate that smaller companies are willing to look at every opportunity that presents itself.
Mr Flannery provided much food for thought in his trademark high impact, high tempo style when he rallied participants to take control of their own destiny. He encouraged attendees not to waste time dwelling on past mistakes or glories, rather he said the challenge was to embrace the challenges that lie ahead. We should become 'pioneers of the future, rather than prisoners of the past', he said.
The event received an overwhelming thumbs up from all in attendance as they left with an invigorated pep in their step as Neil Kane, Architect, explained going out the door: “I feel invigorated both personally and in terms of my business after the event. Pearce Flannery delivered clear advice and his business observations with such conviction and good nature it was hard not to be energised and inspired.”
Due to the demand for this motivational talk , The North Cork Enterprise Board will holding another one of these in the Green Glens, Millstreet on Wednesday, 5th February from 9am-1pm. If you wish to book a place, please contact Joan Kelleher on 022-43235 or email joan@nceb.ie.
