COMMITTEE CLASHES WITH SHERLOCK OVER WELFARE HOME
Minister of State Sean Sherlock and Liz Dolan, chairperson of St Francis’ Welfare Home retention committee in Fermoy, have this week clashed over a proposal that the facility might be used as an Alzheimer’s unit.
Mr Sherlock affirmed that he has been in weekly contact with senior managers in the HSE regarding the future of the home, and claims to have been actively lobbying the HSE to assess whether St Francis’ could be used as a community based facility such as an Alzheimer’s unit.
