FAMILY MUST WAIT AS REMAINS ARE EXAMINED
The family of William ‘Bill’ Fennessy, who went missing from Fermoy 22 years ago, must wait on DNA testing and dental record checks to determine if the remains taken from a submerged car in the Blackwater river on Tuesday are his.
Members of the Blackwater Sub Aqua Club came across the car, a Daihatsu Charade, while carrying out practice exercises in the river on Monday. It was submerged in some 15 feet of water, just opposite Fermoy Rowing Club’s premises.
