HANLEY RE-ELECTED AS MAYOR OF FERMOY
Independent town councillor Michael Hanley was this week re-elected as mayor at the Fermoy Town Council AGM on Tuesday last. Nominations for the mayoral position included Cllr Seamus Coleman (Sinn Fein) and Cllr Olive Corcoran (FF). Mayor Hanley, however, came out on top with five votes, followed by Cllr Corcoran who secured three votes, while Cllr Coleman received one vote.
Cllr Collette Dolan-Moore was then elected as deputy mayor with five votes, in a close contest where Cllr John Murphy got just one vote less.
