LORETO, FERMOY ENJOY ALL-ISLAND SCHOOL CHOIR EXPERIENCE
They may not have won the overall prize, but Loreto Secondary school, Fermoy can hold their heads high after competing in the All-Island school choir competition in The Titanic Building, Belfast, being one of the last four schools in Ireland left in the competition and singing on live television for the whole country to see and enjoy.
Methodist College, Belfast, won the competition, staged before an audience of 750 people and televised live on RTE, but Loreto still gained many admirers on their trip up North. It was a fantastic achievement, something choir conductor Tim Fouhy is well aware of.
