WATER SUPPLY PROBLEMS CAUSE HAVOC AT FERMOY’S BIGGEST SUPERMARKET
“It is unacceptable that we have to put up with this,” the managing director of Fermoy’s largest supermarket, Michael Riordan of SuperValu, wrote in a strongly worded letter to all town councillors this week in relation to repeated breaks in the water supply to his award winning store.
Mr Riordan told councillors that, in the past 18 months, breaks to the main water pipe supplying the store have been ‘a regular occurrence’ leaving the store without water for most of the day, ‘resulting in huge problems which disrupt the operating of our business’.
