KILFINANE AND GALBALLY GARDA STATIONS FACE CLOSURE
Garda barracks in Kilfinane and Galbally are facing closure as part of Minister Alan Shatter’s plans to achieve cost savings by axing 200 stations around the country.
The news emerged when a delegation from the South East Limerick Forum of Ballyhoura Development met with Limerick area Chief Superintendent David Sheehan at Bruff on Monday night last.
Chief Superintendent Sheehan indicated that barracks in Kilfinane and Galbally were more likely to face the chop than similar facilities in Ballylanders and Hospital.
