LOYALTY SHOPPING SCHEME IMMINENT IN MITCHELSTOWN
Shoppers in Mitchelstown are in for a new experience in the coming weeks. The Mitchelstown Business Association (MBA) with help from retailers in the town will soon be introducing a new loyalty-shopping card.
Ger Moylan, of the MBA, told The Avondhu how the scheme will work.
“MBA has introduced the Mitchelstown loyalty card scheme to show our appreciation for our customers continued custom and support of local business and local jobs. Every time you shop in any one of Mitchelstown’s participating outlets you will be rewarded.
"The success of the reward scheme is dependent on the shops and the shoppers. The more shops participating the better value offered to the customer. The more customers who shop in Mitchelstown the more secure local jobs become,” Ger said.
When up and running the card will entitle shoppers to discounts and prizes from retailers in the town.
“The card is free to all shoppers in participating outlets and for every purchase you make exceeding €10 your card will be stamped once. The card can be stamped by 10 different shops, indeed the success of the reward scheme may well be judged by the number of different stamps on any one card.
"When shopping in any participating outlet, present your completed and signed card to receive the concession/reward advertised. The outlet will then withhold your card and your name will be entered into a monthly draw,” Ger Moylan told The Avondhu.
Along with discounts from stores in Mitchelstown there will also be a monthly draw for those who have completed their cards. It is planned to have the new Mitchelstown loyalty scheme up and running by mid-August.
