NEW TENANTS MOVE IN AT SUTTON'S COURT
All the apartments have now been filled and tenants are moving in at the Sutton’s Court development at Clonmel Road, Mitchelstown, writes Brian Moore.
The 30 one, two and three bedroom apartments have now been allocated to families and individuals who were on the social housing list in North Cork. John O’Sullivan from the Cluid Housing Association, which is responsible for the allocation and administration of the apartments in Sutton’s Court, was on hand to welcome some of the new tenants last week.
“All the apartments have been allocated and the new occupants are already beginning to move in. We expect all the apartments to be fully occupied by the end of the month,” John O’Sullivan told The Avondhu.
The complex of 30 apartments will also house the new Mitchelstown library, which is due to open in September. One new occupant, David Mulcahy, spoke to The Avondhu as he was moving into his new home.
“I am delighted with my new apartment, I am originally from Mitchelstown and it’s great to be back home so to speak. The apartments are finished to a very high spec’ and I am over the moon with my new home,” he told The Avondhu.
Another tenant, Sonia Desouza, who spoke to The Avondhu while she was unloading her car, is also very happy with her new home.
“My husband and I have been in rented accommodation for a few years now and it is great to be finally getting settled and we couldn’t ask for a better place than here,” Sonia said.
