Welcome to Tallaght, County Dublin

Tallaght (Tamhlacht) is the largest town in south county Dublin on the foot of the Dublin Mountains, 13km from Dublin City.  Tallaght for the purposes of this website covers an area stretching from Citywest to Firhouse and Belgard.

The village area, dating from at least the 17th century but had most notable changes since the 1960's with massive growth in population and development.  Tallaght now has many large employers and also has one of Ireland's largest shopping centres - the Square.
