Welcome to Westport, County Mayo

Westport (Cathair na Mart) is a town situated on the west coast of Ireland, in county Mayo.

Westport is unusual in Ireland in that it is a planned town. The town was originally laid out by English architect, James Wyatt in 1780.

The town attracts many tourists with the magnificent scenery of the area, and the proximity to Connemara, Achill, Clew Bay and Croagh Patrick.
