| Founded in 1830, is the largest zoo in Ireland and one of Dublin's most popular attractions. Covering 30 acres of Phoenix Park, it provides a habitat for more than 235 species of wild animals and tropical birds. | Marlay Park is a 121 hectares (300 acre) suburban public park located in Rathfarnham in the administrative area of Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown. The parkland comprises woodlands, ponds and walks. Recreational spaces include a nine hole par three golf course (note, however, that the course is currently being refurbished and it is unclear when it will open again), tennis courts, BMX cycle track, fourteen football pitches, a cricket pitch, children’s playground and a miniature railway. |
