Welcome to Walkinstown

Walkinstown (Baile Bhailcín) is a suburb approximately 6 kilometres south-west of Dublin City centre.

Walkinstown is a mature suburb consisting primarily of owner-occupied private residential terraced housing. Light industry, warehousing, car dealerships and commercial outlet stores are concentrated along the Long Mile Road in the western sector of the suburb.

One of the oldest buildings in the immediate vicinity is Drimnagh Castle, located on the Drimnagh side of the Long Mile Road.
