It looks like the red light is shining on the "i" icon; everything (internet/email/phone) seems to be working normally. Thoughts? Suggestions? BTW, I'm in South Portland Maine. Many thanks! I’m in Bangor and mine turned red today too. Though I have t thought much of it since it happened shortly after I called Fidium to swap out my router.
Fidium does not have a router to provide for speeds greater than 1 Gbps, they offer the service but not the equipment for 2 Gbps. I was on spectrum until fidium was available here, I switched for the better speeds. Also, Fidium's customer service is much, much better. The fastest I've seen for WiFi speeds is around 800Mb, IF the device supports WiFi6. If it doesn't, 450Mb is good. Hardwired should give you around 950/950 because of overhead. the actual provisioned speed to your modem is 1.1Gig. They have congestion at certain times of the day.
This is a reply to my post a few months ago about getting admin access to my Adtran 854-6 router, which was used to replace my Zyxel router when Consolidated updated my fiber service to Fidium last August 2022. Although ports 53 (DNS) and 22 (SSH) are open, you cannot access them using PuTTY or a similar program.Possible the 10Gb port/circuit in the ONT got damaged when the power went out (flicker caused a surge) or came back on (possible surge). On the 1Gb or higher plans, the 10Gb port is used, the 1Gb port is for under 1Gb. My guess is the ONT will need to be replaced. 2.

The supposed Adblock never blocked anything and since I use the Brave browser, I don't need an Adblock anyway. It also blocked some plain old regular sites oddly so I eventually shut it off. As long as people are smart with an Adblock and keep your phone/PC updated. It should be fine to have it off. 1.
