Grinds at Celbridge Tutorials

Established in September1987, Celbridge Tutorials is now over thirty six years in operation as a "Grinds" centre of repute; we were out of operation due to the pandemic from April 2020 to April 2022.   Mick Beiirne is now back with Celbridge Tutorials to offer significant HELP TO LEAVING CERT. STUDENTS  in Irish, English, History, Geography and Biology {all of which subjects he has taken as part of his Degrees in Arts and Science].   He has been a teacher for over 40 yearrs.

Grinds/ Classes for Leaving Certificate are of one and a half hour duration, while classes for Junior Cert.are of one hour duration.
Times available:  Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdaay from 4 to 8..30 p.m. and Saturday morning, in cases of necessity.

Also!  Grinds/Classes forThird Level Students of Irish:   this includes speaking Irish, grammar and composition  including advice on assignments.  The latter should  be of particular interest to those in First Year at University or a Teacher Training Colleg; or those who are preparing to sit an examination for entry to a Teacher Training College.

Quality Grinds for Leaving Certificate and Junior Certificate students:    Irish, English, Biology, Geography, History.   One/one classes;  Fees: €35 .   Classes for Third Level students will cost the same as those for Second Level students.

With the “Mock Examinations" over, students are more aware now of their strengths and weaknesses; Celbridge Tutorials offers individual help according to each student’s needs in  selected subjects. Therefore, if help is required, it would be better to call us now rather than after Easster when less time wiill be available for correction of problems.

Celbridge Tutorials also offers programmes in English as a Foreign Language to non native speakers who wish to improve their understanding of conversati9on, as well as their ability to speak, read and write the language.

Recently it has come to my attention that some migrant students propose to do the Leaving Certificate examinatioon withoout having attained a good standard in English: no such student should attempt the Leaving Certicate Examination in Engliish or through English wiithout their having first achieved a significant standard in this language.

Students can take one-to-one
grinds, or be part of  a class with a
maximum number of
three students of a similar standard.

Students can enrol for grinds in  an entire subject; or just for that aspect  of the subject that is causing them problems.

As a fluent Irish speaker, and one familiar with all dialects; also, with over  thirty six years experience in this aspect of learning, Mick Beirne is the tutor  whom you need when preparing for oral examinations at Second and Third Level.

Celbridge Tutorials was established  in 1987.
