Heavy Lift Engineering Ltd (Heavy Lift, HLE) was founded in Cork in 1987 to do one job: install production machinery and remove it when finished. That's still our whole business. Cork is home, but our reach isn't limited to it — we work across Ireland, north and south, and throughout the EU. A machine leaving a Cork plant for Poland is the same job, just with a longer drive and more paperwork. Our clients include manufacturers, plant engineers, equipment vendors and fit-out contractors. Some jobs are simple — a machine off a truck onto a slab. Others aren't: a press removed through a wall opening, a line lifted into a mezzanine plant room, or a full facility cleared during a shutdown against a hard deadline.
