The Society is recruiting a Home Care Worker for Cork Home Care with offices based in Bessboro Day Care, Bessboro, Blackrock, Co. Cork and assigned family homes, who will report to the Operations Office.
We are recruiting one Home Care Worker for the Cobh area and one Home Care Worker for the Youghal area.
Contract is permanent working variable part-time hours (12 hours per week)
Reporting to the Home Care Manager, the Home Care Worker is responsible for providing person centred care to people with dementia, addressing their needs and enhancing their quality of life.
To be successful in this role you will need experience of working with people with dementia, older people or people with intellectual disabilities. A FETAC level 5 is desirable but not essential.
You will need good communication skills and be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
A full drivers licence is essential.
Salary will be commensurate with the care sector, and dependant on relevant experience.
