Now on show in the Gallery is the first exhibition of craft from Waterford Taste of Craft. Crafts on display include; Ceramics, jewellery, soft furnishings, fun and funky bags, basket weaving, and handmade cards. The exhibition showcases the work of craft classes held in every corner of County Waterford; Kilmacthomas, Drumcannon, Bonmahon, Portlaw, Ballinameela, Touraneena, Kilrossanty, Stradbally and Lismore. Some of these craftworkers are established names and some are just starting out. But they all share a passion for what they do and this is evident through the quality of the work on display. All of the group were warm in their thanks to Helen Shanahan and Carmel Keating from the Craft Granary who has spearheaded this project. Also to Jimmy Taaffe and Denise Walsh from Waterford Leader Partnership who have provided the financial assistance to offer these subsidised classes to the public in rural Co. Waterford. The exhibition runs till the 24th of August. The Gallery is open Mon-Fri from 10 to 6, Sat 9 to 5 and Sundays from 1-5. So why not make a day of it?
