Welcome to Clonmel
Clonmel (Cluain Meala ) is largest inland town in Ireland. It is the county town of County Tipperary, although part of the town is situated across the River Suir in County Waterford. It lies in a valley, surrounded by mountains and hills. The town has an honoured place in Irish history as having braved the Cromwellian forces which sacked both Drogheda and Wexford.
In more recent years Clonmel has become best know for it's cider production plant - Bulmers (Magners for the export market).
