Emotions And Author's Estimates When Writing Text Objectivity is one of the main principles of writing scientific texts. The author can be forgiven for complex language, lame structure, or poor-quality illustrations. But a one-sided look and inappropriate emotions will definitely not work. If you want to write a quality scientific article, forget about the "unique author's storytelling style" and emotional assessments. In an expert blog, the identity of the author is important, please feel free to search for help with your college assignments on an excellent service that has an official website and professional writers. Emotions and the author's vision are excellent tools for creating a literary text, but dry facts and merciless analysis rule in science. Emotions harm scientific text Emotions add unnecessary semantic layers to the publication, which confuse the reader and increase the time it takes to read information. Consider how two different authors can write about the same thing: one with emotions, and the other with facts. Emotions prevent the reader from drawing independent conclusions, because the author's assessments in the text are manipulations. "Emotional researchers" are often selective in their choice of sources and discard anything that contradicts their beliefs. How to identify emotions and manipulation The scientific text is intelligent and discreet. Avoid preachy, enthusiastic or hysterical tone. Everything that is allowed in an author's blog or creative media looks out of place in serious analytical articles. Author's estimates Luckily; unfortunately; hope; nice to know; sad fact; to our disappointment, etc. Author's assessments turn a scientific article into a subjective essay, and distance the researcher from the search for scientific truth. Manipulation Only this one; best; this particular method; unique technology; common knowledge; negative growth of indicators, etc. Manipulations make an academic text look like an advertising one and betray the wishful thinking. Biased argumentation References to the previous generation, religion, moral principles, mentality, spiritual bonds of the people, etc. Biased arguments betray a biased and unprofessional author. References to morality and morality are often used by propagandists. In each case, you need to take into account the general context of the article. For example, if you're looking at breakthrough research, the "uniqueness" of the product being developed is a fair description. If the author writes about creating a "unique" site on Tilda, then he is wishful thinking. Engagement and language prison Pushing through one's own point of view in the study can develop into bias. Engagement is the involvement and biased attitude of the author to the topic. Even in the last century, the term did not have a bright negative connotation, but now it is most often applied to paid or propaganda journalistic publications. Usually engagement is associated with the humanities. It manifests itself most clearly in sociology, political science or philosophy, where abstract worldview concepts often become the objects of research. Participation is not limited to gender studies or scientific communism. Bias can also be found in scientific articles. The Austrian philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein wrote about this for reading just go to Reddit. He believed that even a natural physicist cannot be completely objective, since his scientific picture of the world was formed under the influence of society. According to the philosopher, the main barrier to absolute objectivity is the language in which we write, speak and think. Wittgenstein himself considered mathematical logic to be the ideal, and saw the goal of philosophy as "criticism of language". Language forms certain frames in the mind and affects how the reader perceives the text of the study. That is why we pay so much attention to criticizing the traditional academic style, which hinders the acceptance of scientific ideas.
