ACTION GROUP COMMITS ITSELF TO WORKING FOR FERMOY
Fermoy Business Action Group (FBAG) held their AGM in Fermoy Community Youth Centre last Monday evening. Even allowing for the time, date, demands on people’s time, work commitments, family reasons and the traditional fear ‘of getting a job’, the turnout of 13 people must be viewed as somewhat disappointing.
Trying to pin down exactly why it’s so hard to enlist people into a voluntary group whose remit is to promote and advance the town of Fermoy is difficult, but group PRO and manager of the town’s Ulster Bank branch, David Valentine, did try to explain it.
