CASTLETOWNROCHE’S SHANNON IN FINE ‘VOICE’ IN NATIONAL COMPETITION
Castletownroche girl Shannon Murphy doesn’t usually suffer from nerves. But the girl who has played support to Jack L and John Spillane admits to being “terrified” just before she went onstage at the blind auditions for the RTE talent competition The Voice.
“I was grand that morning but just before I went on I was sick with nerves,” 18 year old Shannon told The Avondhu this week. In any event she had nothing to worry about, her unique rendition of the Taylor Swift song ‘We are never getting back together’ wowing coaches Bressie, Kian Egan and Sharon Corr who all turned around in the hope of securing her for their team.
