CASUAL TRADING DEBACLE TURNING FERMOY INTO ‘SESAME STREET’
The issuing of casual trading licences by Fermoy Town Council before agreement from councillors on a vision for the project has sparked a heated debate this week, with one councillor likening the situation to ‘Sesame Street’.
The issue was raised at the May meeting of Fermoy Town Council on Tuesday evening, with councillors expressing shock that two licences had already been issued by the council before councillors had decided on specific trading days or had created guidelines for the executive on the type of casual trading they wanted to see in the town.
