DUMPING SCANDAL AT FERMOY GRAVEYARD
Discarded dog food tins, deodorant cans, nappies, bits of broken lights and even skirting boards were among the items thrown over the wall at the new graveyard in Kilcrumper, in a pile of rubbish that resembles a scene from a landfill site. Labour Councillors Noel McCarthy and Tadhg O’Donovan have said that dumping household waste in a sacred place of worship and mourning is the lowest thing people can do.
And, they are calling on the county council to put a stop to the illegal dumping, which has taken hold in the new graveyard, as it is ‘disgusting, deplorable and unacceptable’.
