FERMOY MUM UPSET AT TREATMENT OF WHEELCHAIR USER SON
A frustrated Fermoy mother has spoken out about the treatment of her wheelchair bound son during what should have been an enjoyable evening out at the pantomime in the Fermoy Youth Centre. Martina Treacy from Rathcarrig in Fermoy, who is a regular visitor to the centre, contacted The Avondhu to express her upset at the treatment of her 12-year-old son and to ask if anything can be done to create a designated wheelchair area within the theatre area.
The incident occurred on the night of Sunday, January 29 when Martina, her son (whom she prefers not to name) and a female friend were enjoying a night out at the ‘Red Riding Hood’ panto at the Fermoy Youth Centre.
