FISCAL TREATY REFERENDUM COMES UNDER THE MICROSCOPE IN FERMOY DEBATE
The upcoming referendum on the 31st of May has widely been hailed as one of the most important decisions the Irish people will have to make for many years. Yet, many opinion polls reveal that voters are unsure of the issues involved in the treaty. This is despite full transcripts of the treaty being distributed to every household in the country.
The people behind the Fermoy anti-austerity campaign have organised a public debate on the issue to be held at the theatre in Fermoy Youth Centre on Thursday next, May 17 at 8pm.
