FREE PARKING IN FERMOY THIS WEEKEND
Shoppers and visitors will enjoy free on street parking in Fermoy this coming June bank holiday weekend, following a successful motion put forward by Cllr Noel McCarthy at a recent meeting of the Fermoy Town Council, writes Susan Caplice.
“I am delighted, anything that will encourage customers to come and shop in Fermoy town is welcome. The feedback has been very positive from both businesses and shoppers following the suspended parking charges over the Easter and May bank holiday weekends, and I am thrilled that we can do the same for the June bank holiday,” Cllr McCarthy told The Avondhu.
Customers availing of the free on street parking are reminded to be aware of the rules that apply for the area i.e if it states one hour parking then the car needs to be moved within the hour to avoid a ticket.
