‘SPARE’ €30,000 SETS PULSES RACING IN FERMOY
The vexed question of how to spend a ‘spare’ €30,000 still hangs in the balance after the Fermoy Town Council budget was finally passed at a meeting on Tuesday night last.
Town councillors could not reach agreement on the proposed budget at a previous meeting, with issues arising over the spending of €30,000 that had been freed up by the transfer of staff to the town park.
And, while they did not make an official decision on how the €30,000 should be spent, the councillors agreed with retiring town clerk Ray Owens that the question of these funds could be revisited during the year.
