SPIRIT OF STUART LIVES ON
Fermoy’s Stuart Mangan passed away in 2009 aged 25 following a rugby accident that left him paralysed. In the aftermath of his devastating injuries, Stuart approached his radically altered life with customary grit and determination.
Following the accident, family, relatives and Stuart’s many friends rallied around to raise money for his future care - a very substantial amount of money was collected as a result of what was a phenomenal fundraising effort.
Since his untimely passing, proceeds from the Stuart Mangan Fund have been distributed to a number of very deserving causes - one being the purchase and refurbishment of a dwelling on Duntaheen Road, Fermoy which will provide respite care to residents of COPE.
