TRACTORS STOLEN IN DARING RAID
Two John Deere tractors, with an estimated value of between €70,000 and €80,000 each, were taken from a business premises in Castlelyons overnight on Friday of last week.
Gardai, who have viewed CCTV footage from the premises, believe the thieves struck at around 2am, forcing the lock on the gate to gain access. They then managed to start the tractors and then simply drove them out of the yard, heading in the direction of Fermoy.
It’s believed the tractors were then transferred onto a low-loader at Corrin, Fermoy.
