‘VERY DISRUPTIVE TO HOME LIVES‘ BUT CRECHE WORKERS WILL NOT GIVE UP
The two women who have been conducting a sit-in at Le Creche in Fermoy for the past month have said that they will not back down, despite allegations of intimidation by the VEC. To show that they have not given up, Margaret Power and Paula Connolly picketed outside the VEC offices in Ballincollig last Thursday, but have yet to get a response from their employers.
Speaking to The Avondhu about their ongoing struggle for a fair redundancy package, Margaret and Paula said that the sit-in has taken its toll on their own personal home lives.
