WELFARE HOME CAMPAIGNERS VOW TO FIGHT ON
Campaigners who fought unsuccessfully to keep St Francis’ Welfare Home in Fermoy open have this week vowed to transfer their efforts to the future of the town’s community hospital, amid concerns that it could too come under threat.
There was widespread devastation in Fermoy on Thursday last (February 9) following confirmation by the HSE South in its 2012 service plan that the Fermoy unit is to close.
