Welcome to Rathmines

Rathmines (Ráth Maonais) is a suburb on the southside of Dublin City, about 3km from the city centre. The suburb stretches from Rathgar to the south to Harold's Cross.

Rathmines in the past was best known for the presence of a large Irish Army army barracks. Now Rathmines is said to have a cosmopolitan feel with a diverse population and many entertainment facilities. The area is also served by the Luas light-rail system.
