Summer art making camp for primary school children facilitated by Laura Ní Fhlaibhín (Flavin). A creative, stimulating and imaginative week of fun and making awaits! Using a wide variety of processes and materials,such as sculpture, printing, clay, painting and textiles the children will explore the exciting possibilities of art making. In a range of exploratory and fun workshops, the students creativity will be showcased.
Ages 5 - 12 years
Tuesday 7th August-Friday 10th August, 10am-3pm daily

Laura Ní Fhlaibhín (Flavin) is a visual artist from Gorey, Co. Wexford. She graduated from NCAD with a first class honours in Fine Art Paint and is currently studying for her Masters Fine Arts at Goldsmiths University, London. Sculptural work, sound, writing and video are important elements of her practice. Laura is also a qualified and experienced primary teacher and visual art educator, and the playful inquiry of young learners is an influence on her art making processes. She is the recipient of numerous awards and bursaries, including Artlinks Bursary, Firestation sculpture studio Award and Catalyst Arts Residency. Laura was selected as an artist on the Wexford Artist in the Community Scheme, and facilitated participative projects and publications with community groups in Wexford town and Courtown. This September Laura will commence her role as a Creative Artist Associate on the Arts Council, Creative Schools initiative. Selected exhibitions include: 'Water jets were used on the four corners of the building', 2018, London, 'a speech that showed the chair in the middle', 2018, London,'Dodecagon', 2017 Seoul, 'Lamellae', 2016 The Lab Dublin.
