Dun Laoghaire Musical and Dramatic Society (DMDS) will present a concert of their favourite pieces in the Studio Theatre, DLR Lexicon Library, Dun Laoghaire at 8pm nightly from Wed 30th March to Saturday 2nd April. The concert, entitled ‘Some Enchanted Music’ will present a mix of choral and individual numbers from a wide variety of musical genres from Disney to Rogers and Hammerstein. DMDS have been entertaining south Dublin since the 1960s and have won many awards for their performances. In 2015 they again won the ‘Best Choir’ cup at the annual competition of the Association of Irish Musical Societies (AIMS). They have won this event in 8 of the last 10 years, and have also won ‘Best Cameo’ (extract from a musical) on many occasions. They are also regularly invited to perform at local cultural events.
