Saturday 26th October to Sunday 3rd November  12 to 6 pm daily

Halloween Festival Galway – It’s a spooky time at Slieve Aughty during the Halloween Festival, with ghosts and goblins galore, haunted houses, Halloween tricks and treats, scary stories, costumes and face painting, horses and ponies to pet and ride, arts and crafts and the Howl-o-Ween Charity Ride.

A family event, enjoy the fresh air of autumn with a walk to Bloody Mary’s haunted house and dare yourself to see her in the mirror of her ruin (read the full story before you go or along the way!).

For the little one’s go on a witch’s walk (a short walk to Slieve Aughty’s enchanted wood).  Along the way, count how many ghosts, witches and other Halloween creatures you see hiding in the forest and answer the Halloween riddles that help guide the way.  Children over the age of 5 can visit the Enchanted Forest aboard a quiet pony* – rides leave every half an hour and advanced booking is recommended! Back at the centre, pet the animals, get a scary face paint, dress up in a silly costume, and make some Halloween arts and crafts.

*pony rides are for ages 4 and up.

Longer walks are possible on one of 4 self-guided walking trails, or relax with a tea, coffee, or organic glass of witch’s brew at The Three Towers Eco House and Organic Kitchen. Pumpkin treats and the centre’s famous pancakes are just a couple of the tasty treats on offer.
