Ballyhoura Series still going strong for Galtee Runners
Five of our Galtee runners hit Bilboa last Friday night for race 6 of the Ballyhoura Limerick Series for the Ger Mullane Memorial 10k road race.
It attracted a field of 130 runners, up 12% on the numbers for 2013. Our runners did great and here are their performances: Richie O’Meara 42:39, Neil Quinlan 43:18, Denis Davern 45:42, Catherine O’Sullivan 46:30 and Jamie Walsh 54:45. Well done!
Sergiu Ciobanu is beginning training again with the club on Tuesday nights. This is available to all club members for the first couple of sessions so that people can get a feel for it before committing to a course of sessions with Sergiu. Members of the club who have attended Sergiu’s sessions before found them challenging but most definitely rewarding. So if you’re looking to improve, no matter what level you’re at, this is for you.
This Friday, 20th June sees the 4th running of Kilfinane AC’s 5 mile road race.
