Never let the truth get in the way of a good story
Carlow artist Siobhán Jordan’s work is inspired by the darker world of fairy tales and folklore, tall tales and short stories. She collects and examines ephemera, patterns, storybooks, cherished songs and remembered prose. These, along with layers of paper and paint are built upon forming compositions and landscapes. This process is wholly intuitive and her work evolves from play, feeding from a world of possibility and freedom.
Open Mon-Fri 1.00 – 5.30pm and during performances.

Ireland’s Playwriting Festival
The first festival dedicated to new Irish plays – their writing, development and nurturing Scripts, Ireland’s Playwriting Festival provides the opportunity for writers to attend workshops with Christian O’Reilly and Philip McMahon, be part of the production process for their play and have their piece performed by professional actors at a rehearsed reading at the showcase on the closing night of the Festival. The audience will experience more theatrical activities with ‘pop-up’ plays in cafes and alternative spaces throughout the town and can listen to plays on the radio.
