Welcome to Carrick-on-Shannon

Carrick-on-Shannon (Cora Droma Rúisc) is the largest town in County Leitrim and is on the border with County Roscommon.

As implied by the name, the town lies on the River Shannon which is now very popular with pleasure cruisers. The 40 lakes within 10km of the town make Carrick-on-Shannon a great base for Anglers.
