Created in 2007 at Pinewood Middle School, Michigan, by music director Eric Hudson, the Anything But Classical (ABC) Orchestra broke new ground with middle-school students learning to play a full range of alternative styles of music, ranging from fiddle to jazz to rock. The group, consisting of violins, violas, cellos, double and electric bass, drums, piano, and electric guitar, will - as the name says - play "anything but classical" music.
