€400k a year deal for Mitchelstown-based Hodgin's Food
Mitchelstown based factory, Hodgins Foods have just signed a contract to provide sausages and black pudding to Compass Group Ireland - the €400,000 a year deal will mean that Hodgins Foods will also be taking on more staff to meet the new contract's demands.
Speaking about the deal, Mervin Hodgins, founder and managing director of Hodgins Foods said that it is great to see a large company like Compass Group Ireland supporting local Irish companies such as themselves and they look forward to working with them.
"At Hodgins Foods, we pride ourselves on producing great quality products for our clients and are delighted to be the official supplier of quality sausages and pudding to a company as large as Compass Group Ireland," he said.
Commercial Director for Compass Group Ireland, Mark Lee added: "We are absolutely committed to working with Irish suppliers wherever possible, and our partnership with Hodgins Foods will ensure that our customers continue to enjoy outstanding product, chosen for its quality, freshness and superb Irish recipe and heritage."
Hodgins Foods currently employ more than 30 people and the family run business produce a range of specialised recipes for sausages and puddings, which include gluten free and low fat products, as well as different flavours.
Compass Group Ireland employ more than 3,500 people in Ireland and they operate more than 200 units and serve over 100,000 meals a day.
