All welcome to Knockadea NS open night
Primary school is where friendships are formed, skills for life are picked up and little junior infant students take the first steps towards becoming the adults that will lead future generations.
On Thursday next, parents, students and people from the community can take the opportunity to see what kind of educational and life opportunities Knockadea NS can offer.
The open night takes place in the school from 6.30pm until 8pm on Thursday, April 10 with music, refreshments and the little ones are reminded to bring along their furry friends for the teddy bears picnic.
This is a great opportunity to meet the teachers, take a look around the school and the school will also be taking enrolments on the night.
Located just a short distance from Mitchelstown, before Ballylanders, the country school has so much to offer and the emphasis is on striking the perfect balance between academic endeavours and also recreational activities.
Each child in the school feels included, accepted and treasured and the students get to know the other students in the school, no matter what age they are, so there are great relationships between the students, across the class groups.
Idyllically set to the backdrop of the Galtees, the school is perfectly situated for wonderful outdoor activities, such as hurling, football, gardening and much more.
They also do a lot of arts and crafts, as well as music and taking part in small plays and productions. There is also a strong emphasis on reading, writing, maths and languages.
The school has a strong presence in the community through various community events, such as their involvement in the St Patrick's Day parade and this can help to encourage children from a young age to play an active part in their community - something which they often take into adulthood.
