Drag hunt draws a good turnout for Araglen Hunt Club
The Araglen Hunt Club would like to thank everyone who supported our recent drag hunt. We had a good number of entries and the weather was certainly in our favour. Thanks to everyone who helped out in anyway to make the day such a great success and thanks to Christy and Geraldine for providing soup and sandwiches after the drag.
We are deeply grateful to all the landowners over whose land the drag hunt was run so a very special thanks to them but also a very special thanks to all the landowners over this land we hunt throughout the year and over whose land we run a fun ride.
The results of the drag hunt are as follows: First horse Liam Russell, Araglen Harriers; second horse, Johnathan Sweeney, Coolnakilla Harriers; third horse Ned O'Donoghue, Araglen Harriers; first lady Louise O'Brien, Mitchelstown; first pony, Darragh O'Reilly, Bundoran; second pony Aislinn O'Connor, Bartlemy; third pony Edele McCarthy, Araglen.
Our first locals home were Liam Russell (horse) and Edele McCarthy (pony). Special prizes were presented to Ted White, Emma Finn, Eoin O'Donovan, Ciara O'Sullivan in recognition of their first year hunting.
Finally the hunt club would like to express our deepest sympathy to the families of the people in the area who have passed away in the last year. May they rest in peace.
