FIGHT GOES ON TO ATTAIN HERITAGE STATUS FOR MITCHELSTOWN’S CASTLE GARDENS
Last August Timmy ‘The Rancher’ White highlighted his anger that the castle gardens in Mitchelstown were being overlooked during Heritage Week. Now, it has emerged that members of Cork County Council recently visited the gardens in advance of making a decision on the possible affordance of heritage status to the grounds.
However, Mr White remains disappointed that a member of the Mitchelstown Heritage Society hasn’t visited Castle Gardens.
“The county council have come out, I discussed my situation with Cllr Kevin O’Keeffe and we are waiting for their findings,” Timmy told The Avondhu.
