HOUSE FIRES OVER CHRISTMAS PERIOD
Over the course of the Christmas period, two serious house fires ravaged two houses, one in Anglesboro, the other in Araglin. Thankfully nobody was injured in either fire and both houses were unoccupied at the time.
Firefighters spent more than eight hours battling with a blaze that took hold in Ryan’s house at Barna Cross in Anglesboro. The fire started at 6.30am on Christmas Eve and the firefighters were tackling it until 4pm that day.
The scene was attended to by two units of Mitchelstown Fire Brigade and three units from Kilmallock. Gardai and the forensic units are investigating the cause of the fire.
