‘LETHAL COCKTAIL OF CHEMICALS’ KILLS HUNDREDS OF FISH IN MITCHELSTOWN
Hundreds of fish were seen belly up in the Gradogue river in Mitchelstown earlier this week, as the people of the town witnessed one of the biggest fish kills in more than twenty years.
There was outrage among the fishing community, as they struggled to come to terms with what had happened.
After the incident on Monday, more than twenty fishermen surveyed the damage while members of Inland Fisheries Association (IFA) were on the river bed conducting an investigation by Tuesday.
