MIKOS FUNDRAISER NOTCHES UP 5,500 FOR CHARITY
A whopping €5,500 which will be split between the My Sister Zoe fund and the Children’s Leukemia Mercy Hospital in Cork was raised recently in an event run by Miko’s Bar in Mitchelstown.
It was an occasion to relish on May 14 with the popular Gemma Hayes and Amanda D’Arcy pulling in the crowds.
Organiser, Michelle Cummins, told The Avondhu, “We had a fantastic night and money is still being counted. We will have a full update in the coming weeks. A huge thank you to everyone that donated to these very worthwhile charities,” Michelle added.

All roads lead to Miko’s Bar again on this June bank holiday Sunday 5 for a charity day with monies raised going to the My Sister Zoe fund.
Michelle Cummins and Marian O’Donnell have organised a feast of entertainment which includes a kids entertainer and a mini music festival. Paul Dee will keep the children going from 3.30 to 5.30 with a Professor Bubbles Magic Show, balloon modeling and face painting.
The music festival will kick off at 5.30 with bands from Cork, Carlow and Tipperary making an appearance. Sponsors of this event are Mitchelstown School of Music, Wishbox, Souled Out, Kellie Lewis and Frank McCarthy who will keep the crows entertained.
TREATMENT IN THE U.S.
The admission is €5 per adult and €2 per child. A great day of fun is guaranteed with all proceeds going to My Sister Zoe appeal.
One year old Zoe Lehane, from Mallow suffers from a rare cancer and will require treatment in the USA. There will also be a raffle with a signed Cork hurling/football jersey and a Munster rugby jersey.
