MITCHELSTOWN BUSINESSES ‘COIN IT’ AFTER ST PATRICK’S DAY OPENING
St Patrick may have driven the snakes out of Ireland but it appears that the celebration of his feast day might just have also driven quite a lot of business into Mitchelstown shops and restaurants last weekend.
Many retail outlets that wouldn’t normally open on St Patrick’s Day availed of the opportunity this time around and, in general, it seems to have paid off. Described by Discover Ireland as one of the biggest of its kind in North Cork, the Mitchelstown St Patrick’s Day parade did not disappoint on Saturday last.
