MITCHELSTOWN FOOD FESTIVAL HANGS IN THE BALANCE
There are serious fears this week that the 2012 food festival in Mitchelstown will not go ahead. The news comes as last year’s chairman, Ger Moylan has confirmed that he is stepping down due to family and work commitments.
“We have canvassed a number of people to take up the position over the past months but without any success,” Mr Moylan told The Avondhu.
Expressing a serious doubt that the food festival would go ahead in August, he said as of now, it seems very likely that the event will not run in 2012 unless someone comes forward to take on the role immediately.
